-----------------------

Editor: Coventry exists as a surname but it's not very common. Moreover, it's well known that place names often come to be used as surnames. There was a ship called (HMS Coventry). It too was named after the English city.

For a cc-cedict definition, I think it's sufficient to mention the city. If anyone comes across 考文垂 in a context where it seems to be the name of a ship, or a person, or something else, a definition like "Coventry, city in the West Midlands, England" should be enough of a clue.
Diff:
[Xi1mi3de2lan2zi1], UK/Coventry (name)/
