<< review queue entry 81654 - submitted by 'polaris' >> 津巴布韦体育部长柯丝蒂·考文垂(Kirsty Coventry)星期四(3月20日)获选国际奥委会主席,成为历来第一名当选的女性和非洲人 ----------------------- Editor: Coventry exists as a surname but it's not very common. Moreover, it's well known that place names often come to be used as surnames. There was a ship called 考文垂号 (HMS Coventry). It too was named after the English city. For a cc-cedict definition, I think it's sufficient to mention the city. If anyone comes across 考文垂 in a context where it seems to be the name of a ship, or a person, or something else, a definition like "Coventry, city in the West Midlands, England" should be enough of a clue. |
