Do you have example sentences where that's what 節文 means? If so, show them to us. If not, maybe leave that sense out. We try to define a word based on the usage we find rather than by copying verbatim all the definitions we find in dictionaries. Is "details" colloquial? literary? archaic? Or are you simply copying it blindly? Similarly, we need usage for "to decorate" and the other senses. (What sort of decoration are you referring to? "decorate a room with artwork"? "decorate a soldier for valor"?) 4) In dictionaries that document ancient Chinese, there are some senses you didn't mention, such as "set up ceremonial practices" and "simplify a text". 5) Please don't quote multiple webpages that quote a definition from the same source. For example, the "Revised Mandarin Chinese Dictionary" definition and the "pedia.cloud" definition are identical. It's superfluous to give us both of those links. |
