<< review queue entry 81483 - submitted by 'kbaiko' >> I suggest we add (archaic) or just delete this entry - Doesn't appear in any of my modern physical dictionaries - Doesn't even appear in 中华字海 - Basically no modern usage, 谥 is always seen as shi4 - Only referenced in old dictionaries like 玉篇 or 说文 https://www.zdic.net/hans/謚 笑貌。《玉篇•言部》：“謚，笑皃。” My copy of 说文: 笑皃。从言, 益聲。 伊昔切。又，呼狄切 Interestingly, my copy of 说文 actually lists this under 謐, which I'm pretty sure it a typo (it's a "modernized" version of 说文 with explanations of the ancient definitions in modern Chinese). And I got 謐 and 謚 mixed up myself which was why I made submissions for both (this was before I checked 说文). |
