<< review queue entry 80945 - submitted by 'aaronwong' >> Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English --------------------- Editor: We use US English, especially US terms that are understood in other countries, wherever possible. "data stick" seems to be more of a UK term, as your reference suggests. As an Australian, I'm not familiar with it, and one American says: "I never heard of a data stick before and I have worked in IT for several high tech companies for 20 years. My Google search shows that a data stick is another name for a USB flash thumb drive." https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-difference-between-a-data-stick-and-a-flash-drive/answer/Jose-Francisco-Medeiros |
