<< review queue entry 8669 - submitted by 'mdbg' >> The gloss for 臭豆腐 is incorrect. It says that "stinky tofu" is Natto (納豆). The stinky tofu gloss is correct, but stinky tofu is not natto. Stinky tofu is made from tofu marinated in a fermented marinade. Natto is made from whole soybeans, which are steamed and then themselves fermented. The processes are quite different. Therefore, both glosses are incorrect. Natto is fermented soybeans. Stinky tofu is sort-of fermented marinated tofu. |
