I think "extraordinary shame and humiliation" has a Chinglishy feel, mimicking as it does the double-barrelled format of the Chinese, whereas in English it feels somewhat redundant. (Although it's better than, say, "extraordinary shame and great humiliation".)

Googling "extraordinary shame and humiliation" yields mainly pages that seem to be derived from cc-cedict.

LA ~ 非常大的恥辱。

Ex.
例如有位化學老師聽說很多學生在外面補理化,「我教的有這麼差嗎?」自認是奇恥大辱的老師把學生全部叫回來,利用課外時間把課程重講一次並一一提點學生。
For instance, one chemistry teacher who heard that many students were taking supplementary science classes asked, "Is my teaching that bad?" Feeling ashamed, the teacher called back all of his students, using the time after class to go over the lecture again and give his students individual instruction.

某年小民也曾因烈酒「二鍋頭」喝多了,不僅上台後不勝酒力、醉話連篇,甚至唱到一半就這麼站著睡著了!最後被一旁狂笑的團員們出聲喚醒,讓他自稱為「人生中最奇恥大辱的瞬間」。
One year, off his face on Chinese spirit erguotou, Xiao Min took to the stage nonetheless, but unable to overcome the power of alcohol, he slurred his way through the performance, even falling asleep standing up halfway through a song at one point! He was eventually woken up again by the riotous laughter of his bandmates in what he calls "the most humiliating moment of my life."

(The latter example illustrates adjectival usage. I'm not sure how often it's used that way.)
Diff:
- 奇恥大辱 奇耻大辱 [qi2 chi3 da4 ru3] /extraordinary shame and humiliation (idiom)/
+ 奇恥大辱 奇耻大辱 [[qi2chi3-da4ru3]] /(idiom) a great humiliation; a huge embarrassment/
