<< review queue entry 79945 - submitted by 'richwarm' >> 1) Unlike 烂尾, "unfinished; incomplete" can apply to something that is going smoothly, according to schedule, and will be completed on time. 2) "unfinished; incomplete" could apply to any sort of project, whereas has been predominantly used to describe construction projects: LA ~ 比喻事情雖到了末尾階段，卻仍無法完成。 例 「爛尾樓」、「爛尾房」、「爛尾工程」。 (although that has changed recently -- e.g. 很多中国家长有望子成龙的心理，但孩子人生路走到青年，无法成龙，却成烂尾 and 在大多数情况下，造成“烂尾娃”的主要原因恰恰是家长本身 ) |
