<< review queue entry 79709 - submitted by 'polaris' >> 「為什麼女朋友叫「马子」?这是早期男人的性别暗示,如以「茶壶」為男、「茶杯」為女的意象。而「马子」却是古代「便器」的称呼。《辞海》解释「马子」是「溲溺器也」。」 - https://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_90dde7d801012l9l.html https://www.threads.net/@bohao1006/post/C8WXxFHuKXe ---------------------- Editor: One more example. New Century labels 马子 as (粗), not (贬). Here is their example sentence: "你竟敢泡我的马子? How dare you dally with my girl?" The speaker here is not using 马子 as a derogatory term here. Crude language? Unsavory? Sexist? Yes, but he does not intend to insult his girl by using 马子 in this sentence. |
