according to Wikipedia, the definition belongs to Japanese's variant (Shinjitai)

Editor:

- Yes the last two glosses of the current definition are from Japanese, 伝える.
I'm not sure about "to summon"
- "only used in 伝伝" - I realize this is what Wiktionary says, but when
Wiktionary can't even define the word and just displays a red link, that's a
sign it's rare or archaic. In this case, the only example sentence I can find is

>魂魄者何謂?魂猶伝伝也,行不休於外也。

Which comes from a book from the Han dynasty, ~2000 years ago. If we had an
existing entry for 伝伝 then I might accept it, but as it stands I don't think
it's worth including.
Diff:
- 伝 伝 [yun2] /to summon/to propagate/to transmit/
# + 伝 伝 [[yun2]] /only used in 伝伝[yun2yun2]/
