Editor: "impatient" and "in a hurry" don't clearly convey that 迫不及待 is about excitement and eagerness. It's only when you get to the final gloss ("itching to get on with it") that those emotions are implied.

Construing 迫不及待地 as "impatiently" or "hurriedly" in usage such as the following example will give the wrong idea.
她迫不及待地分享了她剛聽到的好消息。

- 迫不及待 迫不及待 [po4 bu4 ji2 dai4] /impatient (idiom); in a hurry/itching to get on with it/
