<< review queue entry 79766 - submitted by 'richwarm' >> Died a couple of years ago. I believe the novel's title was misconstrued as 苦+菜花 rather than 苦菜+花. At any rate, "The Bitter Herbs" is the title on Amazon. The novel was published in 1958, not 1954. Feng didn't even start writing it until 1955. 1955年在執行海防任務時面對南海開始創作《苦菜花》 Also, Wikipedia says he called his novel "Mother" but changed the name because Gorky had written a novel with that name. There's nothing there about "loosely based on Gorky's novel". The movie came out in 1965, not 1967. 1965年李昂执导的电影 https://baike.baidu.com/item/%E8%8B%A6%E8%8F%9C%E8%8A%B1/1492825 What a mess! ---------- Editor: - 1922 -> 2022 - Found this article and thought it was an interesting read https://www.sohu.com/a/693968191_121124565 电影《苦菜花》中的苦菜是什么菜? |
