<< review queue entry 78584 - submitted by 'ivanktw3' >> taiwanese term --------------------- Editor: I do agree that it deserves the (Tw) label, but ... > "[Google] seems to do a lot of mangling for trad/simp during indexing which i'm sure messes up stats even more." Sounds like you're not using the same search method as me. As I mentioned, I'm using Google's "Verbatim" option, which returns only pages that contain the specific form you search for, ignoring variant forms. Click the Tools menu and toggle from "All results" to "Verbatim". > "if the difference were a factor 100x [560k] that'd be more credible starting point to investigate" That would be 56,000,000 hits for the simplified form 欧姆蛋 before you'd be prepared to consider whether it might be in use on the mainland! That's a much higher count than for words like 煎蛋 or 水饺. |
