does pinyin of 教皇 need to be capitalized?

not sure about the def
----------------------

Editor: "Pope" doesn't need to be capitalized either, even when referring to the current pope.

Examples from M-W:
"The pope leaned in close to McKellar and tapped him on the chest."
- Deborah Netburn, Los Angeles Times, 12 Mar. 2023
"The pope lost part of a lung due to an illness some 50 years ago."
- Claudio Lavanga, NBC News, 27 Nov. 2023
"In the end, after word of the audience leaked, the pope didn’t meet with the groups."
- Nicole Winfield, The Christian Science Monitor, 25 Jan. 2023
etc.

Ex.
亞維儂是中世紀古城,曾經是羅馬教皇避難的駐在地,
"Avignon is a medieval city which was the residence of the popes during their exile from Rome."
