There are lots of things to check for each new entry (reading the submitted references, checking that the word is actually in use and that the definition is correct and whether it's Tw or not, etc. etc.) If there is a hitch with just one of the proposed entries, it holds up the processing of the whole batch. Also, if the editor doesn't get through the batch in one sitting, many details held in mind can be lost by the time they return to the submission. I have manually broken this submission into four separate submissions. 2) The 7,090 G results for "瓦卡莫雷" include a large number of results that are unrelated to guacamole, especially results for the place name 库埃纳瓦卡, 莫雷洛斯州 (Cuernavaca, Morelos). 3) There are only two quotes provided for "瓦卡莫雷", and in both cases it's not a standalone word. In the first reference, the word used for guacamole is 瓦卡莫雷酪梨醬 and in the 2nd, it's 瓦卡莫雷醬. In both references, it seems the word is considered obscure enough to need an explanation ("Guacamole" and "酪梨醬" respectively). 4) Google results (with verbatim option): Traditional "瓦卡莫雷醬" - 131 results "瓦卡莫雷酪梨醬" - only 1 result (one of the two references you submitted) Simplified "瓦卡莫雷酱" - 7 results "瓦卡莫雷酪梨酱" - zero results 5) In summary, I haven't found enough to support adding the proposed entry. |
