<< review queue entry 78673 - submitted by 'encn' >> insert "a" at the beginning of the def 汉语大词典 says the pinyin should be pao1, while 教育部国语辞典 says biao1 in my hometown, 蛇莓 is called she2pao1r and 桑葚 is called sang1pao1r, now i realize they're 蛇藨 and 桑藨 ---------- Editor: >汉语大词典 says the pinyin should be pao1, while 教育部国语辞典 says biao1 Well they are both right, sort of. When used in names of berries it's pao1, but there are also many species of grasses or sedges with 藨草 in their name, which is biao1. "a kind of raspberry" 乌藨子, 薅田藨 (and more) are species of raspberries, but I'm going with something more general since 藨 is in the names of many other berries too. I'll add 蛇藨 and 桑藨 which you mentioned and fix our entries for 茶藨子 and 黑茶藨子 which have the wrong pinyin (and there are dozens of other currants with 茶藨子 in their name like 长刺茶藨子, 高茶藨子, 四川蔓茶藨子, 美洲茶藨子, 香茶藨子, 刺果茶藨子, etc). Then there's also 莛子藨, I don't know what these fruits are called in English (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triosteum) but they do resemble berries. |
