also a verb
-------------------------

Editor: If you are thinking of this sort of usage:
公司獎他一棟住宅 (where the verb is followed by two nouns)
then "award" is fine, but "reward" doesn't match so well (since one doesn't say "they rewarded him a house") and would be better as "to reward (sb) with (sth)" or "to give as a reward".

other examples:
- 吕后的传国玉玺失踪两千年,小学生捡到后上交国家,还被奖了20元
- 还记得爬上6楼救女童的空调小哥吗?他叫胡云川,被奖了一套房!
Diff:
- 獎 奖 [jiang3] /prize/award/encouragement/CL:個|个[ge4]/
# + 獎 奖 [[jiang3]] /prize; award/encouragement/to award; to reward/
#
+ 獎 奖 [[jiang3]] /prize; award; bonus; reward/(bound form) to encourage; to commend; to praise/to award; to give as a reward/
