construct

even Wikipedia redirects it to entry 太平天国
------------------

Editor: Your concept of a construct seems to be a bit different from mine.

For one thing, I don't mind having some redundancy if it's useful in some way. Constructs can sometimes serve as examples in a dictionary such as ours which includes only very few examples to illustrate usage.

Also, in this particular case, if the entry is deleted as proposed, then users are told only that 太平天國之亂 refers to the "upheaval" (亂) of the "Taiping Heavenly Kingdom" (our current definition of 太平天國), which may mean nothing to some users. I don't think we should assume they know that history. Of course, the problem can be solved by expanding the definition of 太平天國 to mention the civil war. But for now, I'm going to replace 太平天國之亂 with 太平天国起义, which seems to be one of the more common terms for the Taiping Rebellion. You may regard 太平天国起义 as just as much of a construct as 太平天國之亂, but this definition explains what 太平天国起义 means without assuming that the user knows what the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom was. If we expand the definition of 太平天國 in the future, I wouldn't object if people wanted to delete 太平天国起义.

Baidu Baike has an article titled 太平天国运动 and another one titled 太平天国. Does that mean you would not regard 太平天国运动 as a construct?
