<< review queue entry 78319 - submitted by 'encn' >> = 婆家 not sure about the pinyin, jia1 or jia5, which is right? 德川将军家的公主,进到江户时代以后过得都特别好,大概因为本来孩子就少,又不会送到大草原和亲又不会怎么样,待遇好地位高,从夫家回娘家比我去公司还近。 她和她孩子的结局大概率就和凉凉女歌手一样:再表白再倒贴都不会被夫家承认,顶多给一笔钱自己把孩子养着 ---------- Editor: I believe it should be jia1 - and our entries for 婆家 and 娘家 should also be jia1. 家[jia1] means household, family, etc, while 家[jia5] means something like "member of". 夫家/婆家 refer to the husband's household (i.e. where the wife moves into after marriage), so jia1 makes sense here. 男人家 男人家 [nan2 ren2 jia5] /a man (rather than a woman)/ Means "members of the male gender", i.e. "men", as opposed to "family or household of a man". Same with 女人家. Or "小孩家" [xiao3 hai2 jia5] means "children", as opposed to "family of a child" |
