grave: a hole dug in the ground to receive a coffin or dead body, typically marked by a stone or mound.

Your second last example (露出坟包下掩埋的尸坑。) suggests that 坟包 is not a grave as such, but rather something that lies *above* the burial pit.

The last example suggests it's a mound: 坟包一样的小土丘
