Editor: copying RIch's comments: If it's labeled "erroneous" and it really *is* erroneous, I don't think that can be considered "misleading". Online dictionaries often have a list of erroneous variants. So if you look up, say, "acommodate" – instead of simply saying "no results", the dictionary will say something like "We don't have that word, but perhaps you meant 'accommodate'." https://dictionary.cambridge.org/spellcheck/english-chinese-traditional/?q=acommodate ... which is functionally equivalent to saying that "acommodate" is an erroneous variant of "accommodate". I'm not a big fan of this sort of entry in cc-cedict, and I generally don't add more of them, but on the other hand, I don't feel motivated to check and delete existing entries of that sort. Also, I get the feeling you may not have checked all of these entries. For example, according to HDC, 囖 actually *is* a variant of 囉, and 壄 is a variant of 野. |
