Comment: On 2nd thoughts, my examples don't justify the "(of a road) ..." sense.
In those three sentences, 险峻 was really describing the terrain rather than the road.

- 從瑞芳到雙溪是宜蘭線上最險峻的一處,
- 堪稱西部縱貫鐵路中地勢最險峻,
- 我就再也沒有在長野這段險峻的山路上暈車了。
Diff:
- 險峻 险峻 [xian3 jun4] /(of terrain) mountainous; rugged/(of a road) steep and winding/(of a situation) precarious; daunting/
+ 險峻 险峻 [xian3 jun4] /(of terrain) mountainous; rugged/(of a situation) precarious; daunting/
