Since 尝试 is defined as "to attempt", one can assume it also can be noun, either - "attempting; having a go at sth", or - an instance of attempting (i.e. "an attempt") The latter noun sense is especially likely if a classifier like 次 is specified, as is the case here. If the noun glosses helped clarify the verb glosses in some way, it might be worth adding them, but if they are just repeating the same words ("try" and "attempt"), I think it's not worthwhile adding them. |
