It is not necessarily a mutual feeling, though. For example, an adult may observe children in a play group, and feel affection for one particular child, but that child may be scarcely aware of the adult. 情谊, on the other hand, is necessarily a *reciprocated* relationship, according to dictionaries. Here is one definition: 相互间的感情和友谊。Literally, "mutual affection and friendship". "friendship" and "camaraderie" good matches for that, but "affection" is not inherently mutual. In your example sentence, I would suggest that 特别的情谊 can be understood as "a special bond". |
