Here's one of them:
在打网球时要学会预判。
The writer is saying that 预判 is a vital skill that tennis players need to develop.

In your 2nd example, too, 预判 is regarded as something desirable.

"prejudge", on the other hand, has strong negative connotations: it's almost always implied that it's something one should *not* do.
E.g. "Officials complain that some reporters have prejudged the outcome of the investigation."

One definition of 预判 is 对即将到来的事进行判断 — which does not imply that 预判 is a bad thing to do.

So I'm going with a definition that is more neutral than "prejudge".
