In Taiwan, 作證 is FAR more common, and indeed, Taiwan dictionaries only have entries for 作證 — not 做證. 3) 作证 has *two* distinct senses. These are given in the quoted zhidao webpage as 1.当证人;提供证据. 2.当证据. Ex: 可以作证的材料太少. |
