Here's what Miles did in 2008:
- 語素 语素 [yu3 su4] /morpheme/
+ 語素 语素 [yu3 su4] /language component/morpheme/individual characters (making up an expression)/

*sigh*

1) A 語素 is never referred to as a "language component". The correct technical term is "morpheme". I speculate that "language component" was simply a gratuitous attempt to provide a character-by-character literal translation of 語素. But it serves only to distract from the correct definition.

2) The 3rd gloss, "individual characters (making up an expression)", is just *wrong*. The character "d" in "dog" is not a morpheme, for example, and in Chinese, the morphemes ㄍㄧㄥ and 奧林匹克 are not (represented by) single characters.

語素
Dr.eye : a morpheme
NA : a morpheme
ABC : morpheme
Wiktionary : morpheme
Diff:
- 語素 语素 [yu3 su4] /language component/morpheme/individual characters (making up an expression)/
+ 語素 语素 [yu3 su4] /morpheme/
