<< review queue entry 71423 - submitted by 'richwarm' >> Bad def, since "contempt" is not a verb! 轻蔑 is used as a stative verb (adjective) and as a noun, but usage as a transitive verb (like "to disdain") seems very limited, and possibly incorrect. Ex: 1. Stative verb (adjective) usage: - 從父母口中才知道這是一種輕蔑的稱呼。 I didn't realize that these were derogatory terms until my parents told me. - 甚至在網站上留下：「黃百樂人格特質有問題」等輕蔑的字眼。 Someone even questioned my character online. 2. Noun usage - 「我們言辭中沒有輕蔑和不屑」。 "We didn't use disrespectful language." - 每次遇到多事的鄰居補上一句：「她是印尼來的」，那語氣裡或多或少夾帶輕蔑，母親總是能妙語化解，讓對方當下一愣，甚至無話可說，再也不敢招惹「印尼來的」。 |
