Moreover, 见 here usually means "see" – not "(be) seen". 2) "to express ...; naive expression of ..." More accurately it's about *feeling* shocked/astonished -- not *expressing* one's shock or astonishment. That's why definitions of 少见多怪 in GF and HDC, for example, use words like 感到 or 以为. 一年以前我们也许还会对这种行为少见多怪。 A year ago I would have been shocked by this behavior. [Not "...would have expressed my shock at this behavior"] 尴尬时常发生， 沉默也总是出现， 没什么大不了的；这很正常， 不要少见多怪. It seems to be used as saying or as a verb phrase, but not as a noun. Also, as mentioned before, it's about feelings, not about expression of feelings. And the feeling is surprise, not "excitement". 4) Additional example: 「怎麼？玉亭！嚇，你自己去照鏡子，你的臉紅了！哈哈，你真是少見多怪！ "Why! What's the matter with you, Yu-ting? You're blushing! Look at yourself in the mirror!
