I just wanted to add this vocab in because it is important in understanding the differing cultural and linguistic aspects of China. 潮汕话 is a 闽南 language spoken traditionally in Eastern Guangdong Province. It is closely related to 闽南语 but is mostly mutually intelligible. The 潮汕 region consists of three cities; 潮州，揭阳，and 汕头. |
