"silver coinage" means "silver coins in general", so it's non-countable.
Wiktionary @ coinage:
"(uncountable) Coins taken collectively; currency."

But 銀幣 can refer to an individual silver coin.
e.g. 他说:“好吧,我卖给你,6个银币。”
