Editor: "immortal" is ambiguous -- it could be a noun or an adjective.
Well, it's a noun, but if 不死之身 means "an immortal" why do people talk about "having a 不死之身"?
Do people "have" immortals?
Example: 鱼肚子里惊现银币,拥有它就能有不死之身,...

Answer: No, they are talking about having a *body* that never dies, not a *person* who never dies.

So 不死之身 appears to be what it literally says: a body (身) that (之) does not (不) die (死).

It's one of the many "verb之noun" construction (like 必死之心 and 不解之仇), and it's one that seems particularly easy to understand without reference to a dictionary.
Which raises the question: why put it in our dictionary?
