3 issues:

1) 外卖 doesn't mean "to go".
Nor does it mean "to go out", if that's what the definition is trying to say.

2) "take out" is something a *customer* does, whereas 外卖 is something a *restaurant* (or other business) does.
(卖[mai4] means 'sell', not 'buy'.)

3) It doesn't have to be bought *at* the restaurant – it can be a home delivery ordered by phone or app.
(See GF etc.)

TP
因應家庭成為個人主要活動場所的新生活形態,最興盛的行業,可能是一個指令就將各種生活必需品送上門來的外賣!
Current forms of commuter jobs and education will be overthrown, and cities will cease to serve any function. As the residence becomes the major focal point of most activities, probably the most prosperous industry will be the delivery of essential goods directly to people's homes on order.
Diff:
- 外賣 外卖 [wai4 mai4] /to go/take out (relates to food bought at a restaurant)/
+ 外賣 外卖 [wai4 mai4] /(of a restaurant) to provide a takeout or home delivery meal/takeout (business)/takeout (meal)/
