So I used "site:.cn" to filter out the Japanese results. I found 1) Simp form - 横膈膜 has far more support in PRC dicts than 横隔膜 (e.g. NC, NA and GF have 横膈膜, but not 横隔膜) - 横膈膜 has about 5x as many results, using GV with "site:.cn" 2) Trad form - TP uses only 橫隔膜, not 橫膈膜 - However, Tw dicts mostly prefer 橫膈膜 (Dr.eye, M, LA). Only GR has 橫隔膜. - And GV results slightly favour 橫膈膜 over 橫隔膜. Conclusion: We should remove "also written 橫隔膜|横隔膜[heng2 ge2 mo2]" since that implies 横隔膜 is the preferred form, which is not the case (esp. on the mainland). ------------------------- Also, "diaphragm" has several senses, so we should add (anatomy). |
