内观(毗婆舍那,Vipassana)在印度巴利语中,意思是观察如其本然的实相。是印度最古老的禅修方法之一,在长久失传之后,两千五百多年前被释迦牟尼佛重新发现。

Tea master Chao Kun-hsiu, who has studied the way of tea for more than 20 years, is the director of Peaceland Art Studio, which has held a number of major international art festivals in Taiwan. 「五碗肌骨清,六碗通仙靈」,連續喝了第五碗、第六碗,身體的能量提高了,智慧也清明了,明白了愛的力量是有所本的,時空是連續傳承演化的,絕不是一代人斷絕後代生存空間的過程。所以在喝茶的過程中,要時時藉茶反省,藉茶練心、藉茶安定,在安定的力量中,內觀自己,並不斷地反覆練習,進而獲得幸福感。
“The fifth bowl purifies my flesh and bones. The sixth bowl is communion with the saints.” Drinking the fifth and sixth bowls in a row boosts the body’s energy and clears the mind, making you realize that the power of love has a source, and that one can train the mind and settle oneself down by drinking tea. Via inward contemplation, and continual, repeated training, one can attain a sense of joy.

Yang's lifescapes (jingguan yishu) are quite different to Western landscape art (dijing yishu). They emphasize the unity of humanity with the environment. Elaborating further on the concept behind her father's work, Kuan-chien said, "The word for lifescape is jingguan, where jing signifies the outer manifestation and guan refers to inner perception. The creative artist transforms the form of the outer world into lifescape images; the art work becomes a vehicle for the viewer to understand the artist's intentions and thoroughly grasp the work's inherent message, leading to a merging of the artist and the viewers' hearts and minds."
