"word ending" is unnecessary.

"inflection" could be taken to mean "a change in the form of a word", which would be incorrect, so "inflection" is both misleading and unnecessary.

From an E-C dictionary:
-most <<字尾>> (構成形容詞) 表示「最」的意思 1 (加在名詞語尾) 最… topmost, rearmost 2 (形容詞副詞語尾) 最… innermost, foremost
