<< review queue entry 67519 - submitted by 'richwarm' >> Yan4 --> yan4 Most dictionaries (GF, LA, NC, ABC, PLC) see 鸿门宴 as a single word, which makes sense since 宴 is supposed to be a bound form. Even if 鸿门宴 were regarded as two words (鸿门+宴), as K suggests, there's no reason to capitalize the pinyin for 宴, because 鸿门宴 is not the title of a movie or a book (at least, not as we define it in our entry); it's an historical event (or an event that resembles it). So, of course K doesn't capitalize "yan4". |
