Example: 有些菜用紹興酒來做也不錯，但是做滷味一定要用米酒才好。 "Some things come out OK with shaoxing wine, but luwei only tastes good if you make it with rice wine." (One definitely needs to use rice wine. Then, and only then, is it good.) CC-CEDICT defines this sense of 才 as "not until", but I think it would be more usefully defined as "then and only then", so I'll modify our two entries for 才. (Those two entries probably need further attention still.) |
