Well, both 艷 and 豔 are pretty common. You could argue that all or most of our entries containing 艷 should have that character replaced with 豔. After all various dictionaries like M, LA, GR and Wiktionary treat 豔 as the main variant. And TP has three times as many 豔麗 as 艷麗 (31 instances vs 9 instances). On the other hand: - There's not much point just changing this one entry (艳丽) -- we have several dozen entries containing 艷. - 艷 is in fact used a fair bit. - We have an entry that documents the fact that 艷 and 豔 are variants, so 豔麗 is implicitly in cc-cedict already. |
