This one is hard to define, apparently "kitsch" is thought to refer to "emotional contagion in a group," or at least that is how I have tentatively defined it.

The OP copied and pasted large blocks from Baidu Baike defining what it means, but one user refers to kitsch as "群体感情" - I think that helps to clarify a little what it is actually talking about.

The basic idea seems to be the contracting or catching of group emotions and thinking that they are ones own when in reality it is just "emotional contagion."
