It'd be comprehensive if you were reading something written in the 1980s or 1940s. But many of the words (or senses) you might want to look up in current documents are in other dictionaries but not in HDC. e.g. most of our recently edited entries: 吓坏 打狗还得看主人 程不识 细胞破碎 重连 重联 etc. If I were to pick a dictionary that gave the best coverage of the words I actually need to look up, I don't think it'd be HDC. |
