1) It's "official matters" / "official duties",
not "official (matters)" / "official (duties)"
i.e. "matters / duties" is part of the meaning and shouldn't be in parenthesis.

Anyway, I've replaced them both with "work-related matters".
便宜好喝的咖啡、三明治,方便談公事的場所,Cheap but good coffee, sandwiches, and a place where it is convenient to talk business. [i.e. work-related matters]
至於其他服務好的經紀人更是公事私事一手包,Some agents go the extra mile, taking care of all kinds of business, both official and personal, [i.e. both work-related and personal matters]
第一,我不把公事帶回家, First, I don't work at home, ...

2) "official documents" is in PLC GR K.
But they aren't necessarily "official" in the sense of being issued by an authority.
下班前把未完的公事丟進dropbox,上咖啡館加班去…… upload work-in-progress to Dropbox to revisit later in a café,

3) "public affairs" usually means this:
a) "the events, activities, etc., that a company does for the public"
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/public%20affairs
b) "Public affairs is a term used to describe an organisation’s relationship with stakeholders."

That's *not* what 公事 usually refers to (see usage in #1 above), so "public affairs" is not a suitable gloss, at least at the start of the entry.
Diff:
- 公事 公事 [gong1 shi4] /public affairs/official (matters, duties etc)/
+ 公事 公事 [gong1 shi4] /work-related matters/documents/
