I just asked a couple of natives here in Shanghai, who said they tend to hear it as cha3 qian4 and shang3 qian5. ---------------------------------------- Editor: We don't usually make a note of this sort of thing because typically when a word ends with a qingsheng, it's also pronounced with the full tone by some native speakers. |
