It doesn't sound right to me. - "cave in" doesn't mention "roof" which is part of the meaning of 冒顶. I found that "roof fall" is a mining term that's appropriate here for a noun sense, so I've used that. It's a bit awkward to phrase the verb sense in English, but 冒顶 *is* used as a verb. E.g., - 他猛然惊醒过来,无力嘶吼道:“要冒顶了,快逃!” - 矿井里冒顶了， - 不大一会，真的冒顶了，瞬间，我只觉得眼前一黑， |
