"excuse me"

We should refine that, because it's not "excuse me" as in the following:
"Excuse me. I have to leave now."
"Excuse me. May I come in?"
etc.

--------------------------

“Move over” = to let me walk by
借過 jièguò/jiehguoh
借光 jièguāng/jiehguang “[literally] Let me borrow some of your light” [old-fashioned, but I sometimes like to say this]

Diff:
# 借過 借过 [jie4 guo4] /excuse me (i.e. let me through, please)/
- 借光 借光 [jie4 guang1] /Excuse me./reflected glory/to profit from sb else's prestige/
+ 借光 借光 [jie4 guang1] /excuse me (i.e. let me through, please)/reflected glory/to benefit from sb else's prestige/
