We do have an entry for Yokohama already: 橫濱 横滨 [Heng2 bin1] /Yokohama, Japan/ In our entry the traditional form (used in Taiwan) is 橫濱, and the simplified form (used on the Chinese mainland) is 横滨. The traditional form you submitted, 橫浜, is a hybrid of a Chinese form 橫 and a Japanese form 浜, so it's not the sort of thing we would document as a headword in our Chinese-English dictionary. The simplified form you submitted, 横浜, is the way Yokohama is written in Japanese, but again, this is a Chinese-English dictionary, so we use the Chinese forms shown in the entry quoted above. Having said that, if you should come across either of the forms you submitted (橫浜 or 横浜), you would be able to find the following entry if your search engine is smart enough: 浜 浜 [bin1] /Japanese variant of 濱|滨[bin1]/used in Japanese place names such as Yokohama 橫浜|横浜[Heng2 bin1] with phonetic value hama/ |
