<< review queue entry 62812 - submitted by 'monigeria' >> saw in subtitles of English tv show for “never say die.” https://zhidao.baidu.com/question/356976548.html 就是跟你死磕 跟你没完 拼了老命也要搞的意思 ------------------------------------ Editor: By default, "never say die" is an imperative (like "Don't give up!") It's something you say to encourage sb when they are in a difficult situation. 不死不休, on the other hand, seems used to say what sb will do, not to encourage sb *else* to do sth. For example, it's a verb phrase here, not a self-contained exhortation: 你真的要跟我不死不休吗? |
