I really doubt that 击弦贝斯 could mean slap bass. In slap bass it's not really about "hammering the string" (击弦). It's more a case of *pulling* the string away from the fretboard with the thumb (by rotating the wrist) so that the string rebounds and slaps onto the fretboard. We and other dicts have various entries that indicate that 擊弦 is about *hammering* the string. That's a different technique from slapping the string. Eg We have 擊弦類樂器 /hammered string musical instrument/ And K has 击弦乐器 hammered stringed musical instrument (like the dulcimer) |
