MW registers color-weakness (https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/color%20weakness -- a partial inability to distinguish colors that is not so marked as in color blindness) as does the OED (colour-weak a., unable to distinguish colours at a low degree of intensity; so colour-weakness), although none of of these seem to be scientific descriptions. Chinese medical forms do generally distinguish 色盲 and 色弱. Elsewhere in English I only find colour-blindness, which can be manifested in different degrees, including what in Chinese would be called 色弱. Cf. the Chinese Wikiepedia page which includes (另外全球约6%人口为三色视觉(色弱),约2%人口为二色视觉(色盲),极少数为单色视觉(全色盲)) with the the English Wikipedia page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_blindness) which makes no reference of "colour weakness". It does distinguish partial from total colour-blindness which what I am using for the definition here. From the Wikipeda article and several translations it seems "anomalous trichromacy" is the medical term for what in Chinese is called 色弱 but I'm not sure if it includes all forms of partial colour-blindness.

A person with 色弱 is also called 色弱, as in some of the examples below.

【Wenlin】
n. color weakness
【LAC】
对颜色的辨别能力低;轻度色盲。

在我国医生说我只是色弱,所以可以开车。
In our country the doctor said I only have a color weakness, so that I could drive a car.

我十几岁时参加了加拿大皇家空军训练队,但很快被发现色弱,丧失了军事飞行的机会。
I joined the Royal Canadian Air Cadets as a teenager, but soon discovered I was partially colorblind , wiping out any chance for military flying.

视力良好,无色盲、色弱,无近视。
Healthy, good sight without color blindness or color weakness, and shortsightedness.

Editor:
I don't think the examples show that "a person with 色弱 is also called 色弱".
That's not to say it's not true.
E.g. 例如曾經問一位色弱如何辨別紅綠燈,他竟回答:「看別人走就跟著走就好啦!」
But I think that's a standard sort of usage that we don't bother to document in the definition of 色盲, for example.

In the document where I found that example sentence, a person with partial color blindness is referred to, in almost every case, as something other than just 色弱. For example, they use 色弱者 and 色弱患者.
