My sub was prompted by my perception that "win at the lottery" is not what you say when you win the first prize. Nor is it the best way say that you won *something* (not necessarily the first prize). In the latter case, I would suggest "to have a win in the lottery". And I think that's actually what 中乐透 means, now that I think about it. When people want to say they won *first* prize I think they tend to add something, like in 中樂透頭彩. Editor: well it seems some people do use "to win at the lottery" but anyway... |
