<< review queue entry 60023 - submitted by 'richwarm' >> ## segment 17 / 22 << resubmitted review queue entry 60006 - submitted by 'sl89' >> 句号 (The word "period" (for ".") is only used in the U.S., using "full stop" as the fist translation will make it clearer to most English speakers) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_stop ------------------------------ Editor: CC-CEDICT uses American English, but I don't mind adding "full stop". Speaking as a native of Australia, where "full stop" is the usual term, I'd have thought just about all English speakers know what sort of punctuation a period is. Even outside the US, people generally had no problem understanding Obama's 2009 promise “If you like your doctor you can keep them. Period.” |
