句号
(The word "period" (for ".") is only used in the U.S., using "full stop" as the fist translation will make it clearer to most English speakers)

Editor: CC-CEDICT uses American English, but I don't mind adding "full stop".
Speaking as a native of Australia, where "full stop" is the usual term, I'd have thought just about all English speakers know what sort of punctuation a period is. Even outside the US, people generally had no problem understanding Obama's 2009 promise “If you like your doctor you can keep them. Period.”
